Mukhatib
Few days ago, our neighbour's came back from their one week vacation and i just asked them, "where have you'll been to?" so one of their family members said,"Pakistan".
After hearing this, I got shocked for a while and that word brought a lot of questions in my mind. I also thought for a while, Is that the only place left for vacations?, Why they had been to Pakistan ? etc.
They didn't bothered about in what context i would absorb this thing & what i will think about it.
Then in the evening, the picture got more clear as 'Akif' one of their family member, 12 years older to me but still a very good friend told me that
His Grandfather used to live in Balochistan region ( currrently in Pakistan ) along with his two son's named 'Aziz Khan' & 'Zainul Khan' , both of them were married,so during the partition of 1947, the people had the freedom of choice about in which country they want to settle, in India or else, in Pakistan, so at that time, 'Aziz Khan' ( Akif's uncle) stayed in Pakistan along with his family while, Akif's father, 'Zainul Khan' settled in India. Then Akif told me that it was a long gap in which, both the families did not contact each other but a few months ago, Akif got a request on social media from 'Sufiyaan', his cousin brother ( Aziz Khan's son) & Sufiyaan asked Akif to visit his home in Pakistan.
So Akif, along with his family had gone to Islamabad. Akif met his cousin brother, 'Sufiyaan' & also his cousin sister, 'Afreen' who is happily married & has a 4 year old son.
Akif also told me about his experience, that in Pakistan, the people were a bit rude to him & while travelling in Islamabad, Sufiyaan was with him so it was not a big problem as he is a local & can talk to the people more comfortably than him. The women are objectified and are treated very inferiorily. Also he told me that majority of the people in Pakistan don't have common sense & they may dress well & look dapper but when you will talk to them then you will realize that how orthodox their thinking is.
Akif told me that he used to think twice before speaking to any person in Pakistan.
He was very nervous during the trip but now he is happy that everything went well.
Akif told that we could not call it a life where you live with so much fear. You are not living but you are just pushing yourself every single day.
We're very lucky that we live in India, where we have so many liberties, where women are treated equally.
Our India is the Best !!
